From Burnout to Balance Exercises
Now that you've heard my story of how the Belgian forest became my sanctuary for recovery and balance, it's time to put this newfound inspiration into action! Are you ready to harness the power of nature and make it a part of your daily routine? Let's start with some fun exercises to help you find rest and rejuvenation in the natural world.
Exercise 1:
๐ Take 10-15 minutes to reflect on your current daily routine and how you care for yourself after a long day at work. Consider the following questions:
Do you have a set time or activity that helps you unwind and detach from work?
How do you spend your time after work?
Do you feel refreshed and energized after a long day at work? Why or why not?
โฌ๏ธ Once you have reflected on these questions, write down areas for improvement in your daily recovery routine.
๐ Research and explore different techniques or activities to help improve your daily recovery routines, such as mindfulness, exercise, or leisure time in nature.
โ Implement at least one new technique or activity into your daily routine and reflect on how it affects your overall well-being and ability to detach from work.
Exercise 2:

๐ณ Plan a short walk in a natural setting, such as a park or forest, during your lunch break or after work.
๐ง Before starting your walk, set an intention for your time in nature. It could be to reflect on your day, clear your mind, or observe and appreciate the natural world around you.
๐ As you walk, pay attention to your senses and the surrounding environment. Take note of the sights, sounds, and smells of nature.
๐ค Take time to sit and meditate or reflect on your day and any emotions or thoughts that come up.
๐ After your walk, take a few minutes to journal about your experience and feelings during and after your time in nature.
Let me know how it went in the comments below! โฌ๏ธ These exercises are also included in the book! ๐
